Left-handers are the only ones in their right minds.

We have another left handed POTUS. Did you know that only 10% of the population is left handed? While the percetnage of left handed of US Presidents is 18.6%. Hmmm, does it mean something?
One of the first things I noticed about Obama was he was a southpaw like me. Our similarities run deeper, I too am smart, charismatic, good looking, calm, a peacemaker, thin, and am mixed race. Okay, okay, I lied. Our similarities stop after good looking.
According to researcher Alan Searleman, southpaws have higher IQs, solve problems better and enjoy more extensive vocabularies than righties. Here are some lefties to prove my point: Isaac Newton, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso, for starters. Not to mention every U.S. president since 1981, except this one.
Here are some random (completely unsubstantiated) facts about southpaws:
- they are three times more likely than right-handed people to become alcoholics
- they are more prone to have allergies, insomnia, migraines
- they adjust more readily to seeing underwater.
- Left-handers usually reach puberty 4 to 5 months after right-handers
- 4 of the 5 original designers of the Macintosh computer were left-handed
- 1 in 4 Apollo astronauts were left-handed - 250% more than the normal level
- left-handed parents are more likely to have left handed children
- left-handed people have an advantage in a fist fight
- left-handed people are more likely to die young and get into accidents
- left-handed people are more likely to be schizophrenic
- they tend to have neater handwriting (probably because they have to work harder at it)
Interesting article on left-handed people and survival of the fittest
Here is a site that sells all kinds of products for southpaws like me. My mom is a lefty too and she bought me a left-handed bread knife.

I'm a lefty, too--yay! I've learned to do most things right-handed though. This world was not made for us...maybe that's why so many are astronauts...and of course the smart factor. :)
Interesting. My Mom is left handed. We (her kids)are all right handed. She writes with her right hand too(but it still slants to the left), because when she was young her teachers used to hit kids hands with rulers for using their left hand. Just some useless info for you. :O)
i want a left handed bread knife!
Hmmm...some of those things make me think I should be a righty! :)
