Tried and True Tuesday: Magical Contest

I love art and art history, I love being creative, and I love coloring. I was so sad when my first child, Gabe, never touched a crayon. I tried and tried to get him to color with me, but he wasn't having any of that. NEVER. Star Wars coloring books couldn't even persuade him. Nor could 50 packages of beautiful untouched crayons do the trick.

There have been some issues that have arisen from the fact he would never color. This first year in kindergarten was tough because his fine motor skills weren't developed. He had a lot of trouble with his handwriting and was a little behind in that area. Okay a lot behind. Who knew coloring was so important? (By the way, his handwriting is MUCH better now)

Now we have a little Picasso in the making. I was very happy at first, well because I knew we wouldn't have the same handwriting issues with Matthew, but more importantly I had someone to share my love of coloring. Who knew that a one year old and that love of coloring would be such a bad combination?

HE COLORS ON EVERYTHING! I have to hide my 50 packages (left over from when Gabe was two) and he still finds a stray crayon somewhere. What does this have to do with my T&TT?

Yesterday I discovered a miracle! I know I am probably really late in discovering this product, but I am in love. MAGIC ERASER! After being amazed at how easily it cleaned up his latest artistic endeavor, I began searching for other things it might clean. How about the caked on food that has been on my ceiling since our last food fight a year and a half ago? I have tried everything to get that off. Guess what? No more traces of that crazy day. I went around the house ERASING all kinds of stuff. It is MAGIC.

Just because I love this product so much, everyone who comments will be entered to win their very own box. Make sure to leave your email address if I don't know it so I can contact you if you win. Comments must be made before midnight tomorrow (July 2).

I love the magic eraser too! I found that it makes cleaning the bath tub easier! Spray your foam cleaner let it do it's magic then come back with your magic eraser! Love it!!!

I take one in the shower with me and it really is good a removing soap scum. Plus it is so much fun to clean your shower naked.

Just be careful. It has chemicals in it and it can eat away at your skin if you use it too long.

And Zac was so nice one night and cleaned all the cabinets with one. It takes the finish off.

This is one of the things I cannot live without! Allyson's warnings are too true - it can burn your hands (or kids with sensitive skin!).

My kids took a pink highlighter to EVERYTHING in my craft room and the ME saved the day.

I love it too, but the only thing it does not work on is crayon or anything written in FLAT paint. When we moved into this house it had flat paint everywhere and it actually smears it. FYI

I think flat paint sucks!!! I've had it work on other types of paint bases though.

I luuuuuuuurve Magic Erasers! I collect vintage pyrex and some of the pieces I find are pretty beat up and crusty...the Magic Erasers clean them right up instantly. Thanks very much for the coupon link, I've already filled it out! :)

LOL Allyson. I'll have to try it in the shower. I always clean the shower when I'm in the shower.

It doesn't work on our walls, since our builder uses lovely FLAT paint, but I've used it on other walls and it works great!

(I guess everyone else has the same experience abt the flat paint!)

Otherwise - it is magical. We love it!
